Dan Cooper Garden is a unique destination where high-quality garden tools and accessories overlap with sage advice and thoughtful inspiration. Dan loves helping people find joy in their gardens, whether they have rolling acres or a sun-drenched balcony. He scours the globe for best-in-class gardening equipment and presents it online and at plant fairs, garden shows and Christmas events around the UK.
Dan is a lifelong gardener, plantsman, TV presenter and podcaster. In 2012, he began documenting his adventures as he developed two tiny coastal gardens in Broadstairs. Dan’s efforts were celebrated by the press, who praised his “subtropical paradise dominated by dramatic colours and shapes”. His garden at The Watch House has appeared on BBC Gardeners’ World and in countless books and magazines.
After 26 years working as a department store buyer and a decade of sharing his love of gardening, he took the natural next step and launched Dan Cooper Garden in 2022. Dan draws on a wealth of experience to select the finest garden products from brands such as Niwaki, Opinel and Original LÖWE, and even has his own range of hand-forged tools, made in the Netherlands. In his spare time, Dan can be found amongst the tomatoes, dahlias and sunflowers on his allotment in Broadstairs or surrounded by lush foliage in his garden.
What makes Dan Cooper Garden different is that Dan teaches people how to use the things he sells. Seeds and secateurs appear alongside tips for planting and pruning, and every week he produces a newsletter crammed with timely tips to help readers get the most from their garden.
