At its heart, Pilgrims Hospices is dedicated to ensuring people living with a terminal illness can access the quality care and comfort they deserve.
For over 35 years we have been delivering specialist end of life care, through a team of multi-disciplinary medical professionals. Each team ensure that patients who are in their last year of life are able to live well in every moment, both in mind and body.
With a wide range of services, how we support people depends on what they need and their own wishes.
We have three inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford, which allow for short stays for patients to receive symptom and pain management control, as well as care in their final moments.
Our community nurses deliver advice and care in outreach clinics across east Kent, and our Hospice at Home team support patients and their loved ones practically, and emotionally, at home in their last 72 hours. We are there for the whole family and through our Wellbeing and Social Programme we ensure people are getting the care they need earlier on in their illness.
With 80% of our income coming from voluntary donations, we simply would not be able to continue delivering care to those who need it without the generous support of the community. This means everything to Pilgrims, ensuring patients and their loved ones are cared for through every step of their journey with us, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Together, we can make a difference and ensure that Pilgrims continues to deliver compassionate care to those who need it, for as long as they need it, even in these very challenging times.
